Land Due Diligence

At Halal Integral, we specialize in acquiring land for telecommunications infrastructure while adhering to halal principles and respecting landowner rights. We rent land on behalf of tower owners and conduct thorough due diligence to confirm ownership before finalizing agreements.

Types of Land Ownership

To determine land status (titled or untitled), we obtain ortho-photos from the Ministry of Lands using the land coordinates. We classify ownership into three categories:

  1. Customary Land (Untitled)
This land lacks formal titles. We consult local council authorities, neighbors, clan leaders, and area land committees to confirm ownership and obtain community consent.
  2. Titled Land
Common in urban areas and falls into: Direct Ownership: Title is in the individual’s name. Kibanja Ownership: Ownership is shared between kibanja holders and title owners.
  3. Buganda Land Board Land
Requires verification with both local authorities and the Buganda Land Board

Land Title Verification Process (Titled Land)
  • Ownership Verification

Confirm legitimacy through land title and Ministry of Lands searches.

  • Encumbrance Check

Identify any liens, mortgages, or claims.

  • Title Authenticity

    Validate with relevant authorities.
